Where NEWS? Reports on the Future of Printing and Scenarios of Media Use published.

Starting from the status quo at the beginning of 2008, the Where NEWS? report no. 7 examines the potential technological developments for the next 5, 10 and 15 years. What will media use look like in 2017? Based on the scientific IFRA Where NEWS? reports that analyse technical, social, demographic and media aspects of media consumption over the coming 5–15 years, an extended Where NEWS? working group met in October 2007 to discuss possible scenarios of media use. IFRA Expo 2008: More than 8,800 Visitors saw the “Big Picture”

A total of more than 8,800 visitors from 82 countries came to the Dutch capital, where 335 exhibitors from 26 countries presented their innovations.

The motto of IFRA Expo 2008 was "Get the Big Picture". Reiner Mittelbach, CEO of IFRA: "At a time such as now that is characterised by structural changes in the media industry as well as by the financial crisis, the IFRA Expo acts as an anchor for our industry."
