SYSTEM INTEGRATORS INC.
The Sacramento, Calif.-based company announced today that it had appointed Frank Washington as chief executive officer. Washington, 48, assumes the responsibilities of Erika Williams, who departed SII as interim chief executive officer to assume the chief executive post at Cincinnati Microwave Inc. in early June. Jack Pritchard, chief operating officer, and Jim Williams, chief financial officer, will now report to Washington.

Washington's career crosses a number of key segments of the communications industry. Most recently he was the general partner in several cable television limited partnerships and negotiated the attempted $2.3 billion purchase of Viacom's cable systems in 1995. During the '80s, Washington served as a board member and vice president of McClatchy Newspapers; previously he had worked for Times Mirror Co. in a variety of cable and videotex capacities. In 1977 he joined the White House Office of Telecommunications Policy and from 1978 to 1981 he served as the legal assistant to the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and as deputy chief of the commission's Broadcast Bureau.
